UK Study Visa (Student Route – Tier 4)
The UK Student Visa (formerly Tier 4) allows international students to study full-time at licensed institutions. Popular among Indian students, this visa is valid for the duration of the course plus a few months for arrival and departure.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Unconditional Offer: From a UK university or licensed sponsor.
- CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies): Unique reference number issued by the university.
- English Proficiency: IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent test required (SELT if applicable).
- Financial Requirement: Show funds for tuition and living:
- £1,334/month (London) or £1,023/month (outside London) for up to 9 months.
- Passport Validity: Minimum 6 months.
- TB Test Certificate: Required from India.
- Parental Consent: For applicants under 18.
- Health Surcharge Payment: Required for NHS access.
